Thomas Brabender is the founder and CEO of the Brabender Group and BRABENDER solutions GmbH, headquartered in Switzerland. He began his career in his family’s freight forwarding business, which he took over at just 18 years old — giving him deep practical insight into the logistics industry. After training as a freight forwarding specialist and earning a degree in computer science and business administration from DAV Bremen, he founded his first software company in 1994. With the launch of the screen-based dispatching system, he introduced one of the first digital tools for freight forwarders. In 2004, he successfully exited BNS Software AG.
Since 2006, he has led the development of a modular all-in-one logistics platform that integrates transport, warehouse, and fleet management with controlling and telematics. His solutions enable end-to-end digitalization and help logistics providers of all sizes future-proof their operations. Brabender combines the hands-on experience of a freight forwarder with the strategic vision of a digital innovator. His group has been delivering digital transformation projects across the logistics sector for years — always solution-oriented and close to customer needs.
Since 2024, he has served on the board of the Swiss Logistics Network Association (VNL), where he actively supports the industry's development. With over 25 years of experience, he continues to shape the intersection of logistics and technology.
