Dirk Lohre is Professor of Transport Logistics and Logistics Services at Heilbronn University and Director of the Institute for Sustainability in Transport and Logistics (INVL) there. Since 2010, he has headed the logistics consultancy Forlogic, where consulting for logistics companies and shippers on land transport issues predominates. FORLOGIC has, among other things, developed the cost index for system transports for the German Freight Forwarding and Logistics Association, which has been surveying cost developments in the industry every six months since 2014.
Its current focus areas are the industrialization of logistics services, system transport management, sustainability management and the driver shortage.
