Sascha Hähnke had worked for various companies in the transport logistics industry before joining the Rhenus Group in 2004 as Managing Director of what is now Rhenus Forest Logistics, one of the leading residual wood logistics companies. Two years later, he took over as business unit manager of the Road division and, since 2018, has been a member of the management board of Rhenus Transport GmbH & Co. KG, under whose roof all of Rhenus' bulk transport activities by truck, rail and ship are organized, and has been Managing Director of Remondis Sustainable Services GmbH since 2023.
He is the driving force in the area of "alternative drives in road freight transport" within the group of companies, which is one of the pioneers in this field in Germany, and is also involved in various committees. Among other things, he is a member of the AG Verkehr (Transport Working Group) and other task forces supporting the German Federal Ministry of Transport, as well as acting in an advisory capacity for commercial vehicle manufacturers on customer/expert advisory boards.
Sascha Hähnke was born in Bielefeld, age 54, married, two children.
